Still Time to Run for an HCC Chair Position!
As many of you know, the HCC (Honors College Council) has many Chair positions for those who want to assume a more formal role in all the cool things the HCC does. Well, now that you all know, it is time to apply!
In your application, please include 1) a list of relevant experiences, and 2) a paragraph explaining why you are interested in this position and what skills you have to offer. All Chair positions have a Chair-in-Training counterpart, so there is plenty of work to go around!
Positions
1. Recurring Events Chair
- Will report directly to the External Vice President
- Will be responsible for coordinating regularly scheduled (monthly, biweekly) events hosted by the HCC, such as Lunch in the Lounge
- Should possess strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
2. Major Events Chair
- Will report directly to the External Vice President
- Will be responsible for leading the planning of HCC's major events, which generally occur only once or twice a semester (i.e. Trivia Bowl and Charity Gala)
- Should possess long-term task completion skills, such as as strong management, communication, and leadership abilities
3. Marketing Chair
- Will report directly to the Internal Vice President
- Will be responsible for creating all HCC marketing materials (including flyers, written announcements, and social media) for all events
- Should possess strong writing, creative, and time management skills
4. Student Involvement Chair
- Will report directly to the Internal Vice President
- Will be responsible for managing photography needs and tracking engagement at HCC events
- Should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
