John Rennie Short on the South China Sea Dispute

Honors College Faculty Fellow John Rennie Short, a professor in UMBC's School of Public Policy, wrote an op-ed about how the territorial dispute between China and the Philippines over a group of islands in the South China Sea will likely result in increased geopolitical tensions.

Dr. Short teaches an Honors seminar entitled "Stress-Testing the US," where students explore how the US is strengthened and weakened by national crises and disasters.
