Join the Honors College Council for Lunch in the Lounge and an informal discussion with Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of UMBC!
RSVP by Sunday, April 7, to attend as we have a limited number of seats and they will fill fast! Pizza will be provided. Come with great questions!
This event is for members of the Honors College only.
Dr. Hrabowski has served as the President of UMBC since May 1992. His work as President has created innumerable opportunities for UMBC students, especially with regards to research and academic development. He received the Academic Leadership Award from the Carnegie Corporation of New York in 2011. In 2012, he was appointed as the Chair of the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans by President Obama. He has been recognized as a top American College President and an influential leader and has dedicated his own research to developments in science and math education, focusing on minority performance.
