The Honors College Council presents our monthly Lunch in the Lounge event!

Please join us on Monday, February 23rd to hear Mito Diaz-Espinoza, who is the newest member of the Honors College staff. Mito became a part of the Honors College last semester, and this is a fantastic chance to meet and get to know him!

Mito Diaz-Espinoza’s role in the Honors College includes academic advising of first-year Honors College students, recruitment and admissions, the Honors College Living Learning Community, and co-curricular events. Mito is an Advisor for the Relationship Violence Prevention Awareness Advocates on campus and serves as the staff facilitator for Rebuilding Manhood, an initiative to explore gender norms and healthy masculinity. Mito is also a diversity trainer and the staff facilitator for the Center for Women in Technology’s Men in CWIT. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. His dissertation topic is the motivation of Latino males who are first-generation college students to pursue higher education.
