Description

Hello Honors Students!

We write to share an opportunity that may be of special interest. The Center for Democracy and Civic Life is hosting a Change Makers Dinner on Monday, April 4 from 5 - 7 p.m. Members of the UMBC community will have the opportunity to talk with leaders working to protect voting rights and ensure fairness in processes related to elections such as redistricting. We would appreciate it if you would share this opportunity with people in your network. This program requires an RSVP.

The Change Makers will be:

  • Gilda Daniels, Professor of Law, Baltimore School of Law

  • Charles Sydnor, Maryland State Senator, District 44

  • Donald Sherman, Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW)

The program’s format includes rounds of facilitated small-group conversations in which participants will have the opportunity to interact with the Change Makers and each other.

Thank you,

Romy, David, and Charis
